The Community Outreach Committee is seeking 14 Altrusans to be ushers for the Richardson Reads One Book (RROB) author lecture.
The 2014 RROB selection is Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan. The author will present a free public lecture on behalf off RROB. Altrusans who usher at the lecture are cordially invited to attend the author reception at the RHS Library at 6 pm and will have reserved seating in the front of the auditorium. Ushers will leave the reception early and convene in the RHS auditorium at 6:30 pm to receive assignments prior to opening the doors at 6:45. In order to be effective ushers, Altrusans should be in the auditorium no later than 6:30. Ushers not attending the reception should check in at the Library (East) entrance and walk down the hall to the auditorium.
Usher spots are limited to the first 14 Altrusans who register. Please register on our website if you want to be an usher.
