Warren Center- Sensory Book Project

Dear Altrusans:

We need you for a wonderful hands-on project with the Warren Center. As you know, the Warren Center provides programs for developmentally delayed children ages 6 months – 8 years. They have asked Altrusans if we would put together 100 “sensory books” for their clients to take home. Their families can work with them to help them recognize, animals, shapes, colors, etc.

This is an easy project for us to do. It involves, cutting, pasting, and laminating the books. The Warren Center provides all the supplies, tools, and workspace in their Richardson office.  Altrusans will provide the labor. To complete 100 books, it will take two shifts: 9 am to noon and 1:00 – 4 pm with 8 Altrusans for each shift. The first day of work is February 17. If we do not complete the books then, we will finish on February 23.

If you can cut, paste, and/or laminate, you can do this project. Please go on-line and sign-up for a shift. If you want, you can sign up for the day. What a great way to spend time with your Altrusa sisters!

The Event is at the Warren Center on Custer Road.  We will be making 100 sensory books for the Warren Center clients to take home.  The Warren Center will provide the supplies and Altrusans will provide the labor.  This includes cutting, pasting, and laminating the books.  We will have two days of two shifts.
